DJO fouls out and Jae Crowder has a sub par night.  These are story lines from games where Marquette loses games.  Instead Marquette beats University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and prove to be the best team in the city of Milwaukee, along with the state of Wisconsin. Surprising night of scoring from the normally pass first Junior Cadougan as he added 15 points 7 rebounds and only 1 assist.

While talking to another fan about yesterday’s game, it came to my attention he wasn’t able to watch the game.  He was travelling, got home very late and being smartphone-less, he had to wait until this morning to look up the box score online.  After looking up the stats, all he could say was what happened?  Didn’t LSU lose to Coastal Carolina?

The Marquette Golden Eagles went into Madison Wisconsin and beat a very good Wisconsin Badgers team 61 – 54.  Hours before the game, it was released that Junior Cadougan would not be available for the game due to violating team rules.  Jae Crowder has a terrible game only getting 2 points and 3 rebounds.  DJO has a chucking game where he ends up with 17 points, but he was only 6-15 from the field.  The major difference in the game was the play of Vander Blue and Todd Mayo.  Todd Mayo was an offensive force and Vander Blue played an amazing first half while leading the team with 8 rebounds.

The Marquette Golden Eagles entered the game with a 3-0 record averaging 95 points a game and NCAA leading 23 assists per game.  Early on in this game, Marquette’s offense was rolling while the defense held Ole Miss without a field goal for 5 + minutes.  By halftime this game was already decided.   Marquette ended the game with a 30 point win, 96-66.

The Marquette Golden Eagles exploded for 59 points in the second half to beat the Norfolk St Spartan on Monday night 99-68.  While the score would lead you to believe this game was never close, there was a point in the 2nd half where Marquette’s lead was down to 12.  Scoring picked up and defense started getting stops, so Marquette wins big and for the box score watchers everything is OK.
